The Lowell Damon Woods Neighborhood Association (LDWNA) was founded in 1995. Often called “Damon Woods,” we’re a volunteer-run, non-profit organization representing about 500 households.

Our neighborhood is named after Lowell Damon, one of Wauwatosa’s pioneer settlers. His historic home at 2107 Wauwatosa Avenue—the city’s oldest house—is partly preserved as a museum by the Milwaukee County Historical Society.

LDWNA is a nonpartisan group dedicated to building community in the area south and west of Wauwatosa’s City Hall and Public Library. Our boundaries are North Avenue (north), Wauwatosa Avenue (east), Hillcrest (south, not including Hillcrest), and the west side of 83rd Street (west). Membership is open to all neighbors, with annual dues supporting our activities.

The Board of Directors elects officers each fall, and board meetings—held six times a year—are open to all residents.
